In 2014 Wilsons stardom exploded over the pond with greater prominence by announcing her participation in Showtimes The Affair as Alison Lockhart an unreliable young woman who has a past of dark who falls for the husband of her dreams, Noah Solloway. Wilson was awarded an award in the form of a Golden Globe in 2015 for Best Actress, Television Series Drama. The show also starred Maura Terney and Joshua Jackson. Wilson spoke to British Vogue during the year 2015 stated that she was enjoying playing characters from two different perspective. Noah considers that Alison is this confident, sexy and reckless version of herself. However, in reality Alison sees herself as unattractive. In addition, she said that she believed America to be morally upright. Wilson left the show in 2018 after a lot of fans' shock, but she didn't provide any specifics.
