Midthunder originates from the Fort Peck Assiniboine tribe. Her birthplace was on the Navajo Nation in Shiprock, New Mexico, and eventually moved back to the area after spending a lot of her early years at Santa Fe, where she attended her school, the Academy for Technology and the Classics and her mother worked in a casting business. Amber comes from a Native American family on her dad's side. Both are members of Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber's mother is adopted and so Amber is of unknown ancestral lineage. Prey is a movie with an extensive Native American contingent, which includes Dakota Beavers in the role Naru's younger brother and Jhane MYERS, who is a Comanche and Blackfeet producer who helped with the production extensive. Coco, the adorable actor playing Sarii is chosen because of her specific rare breed that is that of the American Dingo. Carolina Dog is a breed which has been in existence for generations.
There is another message in all this; throughout the film TJ recounts the love he has for Amanda and how she's his everything (although some of the narration may be a reference to Amanda's daughter if we examine it more). He reveals his feelings towards her but she resisted him since she was in a relationship with Daniel. Jack later got married to Amanda. Emily, however, revealed herself after Amanda passed away. Ever since, they've been their best friendships. In the finale the couple are getting married. Amanda and Wilf will kiss at midnight. One winner wins the entire prize pot
